It emerged as a popular social dance among everyday people, influenced by bolero, Cuban son, and merengue. Over time, it evolved into one of the world's most recognized and beloved social dances. Unlike many modern bachata styles, Traditional Bachata emphasizes musicality, footwork, partner connection, and the authentic interpretation of the music. It is the foundation upon which all other bachata styles have been developed.
