Starting Wed Feb 11, 18, 25, Mar 4 Step into the powerful rhythms and rich traditions of Afro-Cuban culture. This class explores movements rooted in the African heritage of Cuba, blending ritualistic, earthy, and expressive body language with the music of drums and percussion. Students will learn fundamental steps, body isolations, and the connection between rhythm and movement while embracing the energy and storytelling behind each dance. Perfect for dancers of all levels, but tailored to more intermediate and advanced dancers, Afro-Cuban builds body awareness, rhythm, and expression, helping you feel grounded, empowered, and connected to the music.
